Landline Phone

Robo call.

Scam call.

Hard solicitation.

I need to pause a moment

for some quiet rumination.

I pay to have my landline.

For my use.  For my convenience.

But when you think about it,

it just doesn’t take a genius

to know it’s been degraded

to an instrument for scam.

And the longer that I pay for it,

the bigger fool I am.
