The clock sits — peaceful — on the shelf.
It marks the hours of day.
The years go by. It never stops.
It ticks one’s life away.

The years go by. It never stops.
It ticks one’s life away.
We need more folks
with common sense —
with calm consideration —
to solve with justice, peace, and truth,
the problems of this nation.
We need more folks
who’ll recognize the
needs of one another,
with minds that open up
enough to see Man as a brother.
We need more folks who
think, and act, and choose what’s good and true.
We need more folks with caring hearts —
more folks like me and you.
Today may you know happiness
beyond your wildest dreams.
May you take a magic carpet ride
where nothing’s as it seems.
May you walk in clouds of pixie dust
in one enchanted spell,
enclosed inside a magic charm
so all things turn out well.
Tomorrow’s always out there.
Yesterday is always gone.
We live our lives in moments.
Today’s always moving on.
“Here lies John Jones.
He fell off his horse in a drunken stupor
and cracked his skull open on a rock.
He was galloping home after a roisterous night
with his friends at a local tavern.
The horse survived.”
So here’s an ode to make you laugh:
Your life will end with epitaph.
Your tombstone etches when you die.
And, never, ever, mentions why.
Tomorrow is another day.
Perhaps the best that’s been!
Tomorrow we will lift our eyes.
Arise. And try again.
We fin’lly had some rain last week .
It was a precious gift.
As soaking rain tounched on the earth,
we felt our parched hearts lift.
I’ve been sending word to Heaven
how some rain would suit my needs.
And Heaven has responded.
I’ve a bumper crop of weeds.
Today’s a day for feeling blessed.
Today’s a day to know
that you were meant for happiness…
to blossom….and to grow.
The Uvalde children haunt me.
Summer wind blows past each grave.
Each gentle gust reminds us
of the lives we did not save.
I will lift my eyes.
I will raise my voice.
I will tell the world
I’ve made my choice
for Liberty.
Democracy.
For the right of
all men to be free.
America. 2025.
