To make the world a better place,

today I’ll start with me.

I’ll be a little kinder.

I will wait more patiently.

I’ll listen more to other folks

with whom I disagree.

Perhaps I’ll find,

to my surprise,

a better world for me.

Walk forth in kindness through this day.

Share a loving thought.

To start to heal an aching world,

we offer what we’ve got.

May this day be rich with blessings.

May your heart be light.

May you know both hope and love

as day fades into night.

Decency. Civility.
Some kind consideration.

These are words that ought to be

the hallmark of our nation.

  Simple words.  Easy words.

They help us live together.

They help us through the worst of times

and in the stormy weather.

Decency.  Civility.

Some kind consideration.

Can we unite around these words

to heal our troubled nation?

Rabbits are The Enemy!

There’s No Dispute!

Whoever claimed that rabbits are

 Sweet? Soft?  And Cute?

Rabbits flaunt their tails at Man

as through the lawn they hop,

savoring sweet garden tastes

while they eat up the crop.

May beauty fill your eyes today,

and kindness fill your heart…

a spark of generosity

touch ev’rything you start.

We stand as one to show that we

believe in our Democracy.

We speak together with one voice

to tell the world we’ve made our choice.

We stand for truth against the lies

that masquerade in false disguise.

We speak ‘gainst those who foster hate…

….the meanness meant to separate..

…the cuelty that breaks apart

the kindness of our country’s heart.

We stand together, hand in hand.

Let freedom ring throughout this land!

We speak up – Clear! –to tell the world

Old Glory soars. Full. High. Unfurled.

The Stars and Stripes still mean that we

 have hearts that burn for liberty.

We take to ev’ry street and town

to show the world we don’t give ground

to those who’d seize our liberty

and crush our mandate to be free.

We stand together, hand in hand.

Let freedom ring across this land!

Devils live in our devices.

Siren calls perforce entice us

to believe that Luddites—we–

can gain a touch of mastery.

But we had better understand

that Devils have the upper hand.

They will use their wily vices

to  control our weak devices.

Where are the singers of protest?

Where are the voices who can

lift up the heart of a nation and

challenge the conscience of man?

Where are the songs that re-charge us?

Remind of our dream to be free?

Offer a hope for our freedom?

And all in three-part harmony?

May this day for you be blessed.

May you go forth in happiness.

May your toils and troubles cease.

May you find a heart at ease.
