A Prayer

Each day I write a prayer for you and

send it on its way

to let you know I Love You and

wish the best for you each day..

Some one dies every 36 seconds

Some one dies every 36 seconds.

Some one is dying now.

Some one dies every 36 seconds, and

I still can’t comprehend how.

Some one dies every 36 seconds.

The Virus is the curse.

Some one dies every 36 seconds. and

they say it’s going to get worse.

Living Alone

Living alone has its cons and pros.

Sometimes, it’s hard to take it.

But, on balance, it’s like most things:

It’s pretty much what you make it.

Advice

I find when I need good advice,

the one I talk to is me.

I’ve discovered I’m the only one

with whom I always agree.

Spinach Soup

I made a pot of Spinach Soup.

I really have to say –

It’s a Gastronomic Blessing

on this raw December day.

300,000 Americans Dead

The size of the cities of Pittsburgh or St. Louis

Three times the population of my city, Everett

100 Americans die each hour.

I stop and bow my head.

100 Americans die each hour.

I weep for all the dead.

Christmas Star

The Christmas Star is coming.

It will shine in the evening sky.

It’s been about 800 years

since this event passed by.

The skies are wet and clouded

so we might not see it there.

But, we will know it’s happening—

precious, bright, and rare.

Daily Walk

I like to take my daily walk

and get out in the air.

I like to see the homes and lawns

and check whatever’s there.

I like to leave behind the thoughts

of things that grieve and tire us.

I like to have some time without

the politics and virus.

Corona Virus Transformation

My hair is growing down the back of my neck.

I feel like a Baboon.

I’m watching for other Suspicious Signs.

I hope this Virus ends soon.
