Our hearts are stunned
with shock and grief.
Devastation. No relief.
Searing pain at what was lost.
Unimagined human cost.
Unbelieving what we see.
Tragic toll of misery.
We weep.
Our hearts are stunned
with shock and grief.
Devastation. No relief.
Searing pain at what was lost.
Unimagined human cost.
Unbelieving what we see.
Tragic toll of misery.
We weep.
This day comes to us as a gift.
No strings that I can find!
So, let’s accept this precious gift.
And, in return, be kind.
My garden rests in silence
‘neath the golden summer sun.
It offers up its beauty.
No demands on any one.
The dawning light of morning
pushes o’er the Cascade peak,
spilling light into the valleys
as the night plays hide and seek.
The liquid light of morning
spreads across the Eastern skies,
growing stronger ev’ry moment
as the night it’s chasing dies.
I pray for our country.
I pray for our soul.
I pray for our healing.
I pray we’ll be whole.
Man has ravaged Planet Earth.
Perhaps beyond redemption.
There are rules to foster life.
Mankind has no exemption.
May darkness fold and follow you
and rest you in its arms.
And while its sweet reach comforts you,
may you be safe from harms.
The year’s half gone!
It’s flashing by!
‘Twas just New Years!
Now One July!
Oh, My!!!
May ev’ry hour of this day
be filled with Joy for you.
May you find Hope and Happiness
in ev’rything you do.
