Please take my hand

and walk with me.

Let’s speak of gentle things.

Let’s talk of birds and butterflies…

…a meadow lark that sings.

Let’s speak of kindness in the land —

of things we hope to see.

Let’s walk together.  Hand in hand.

I’m glad you’re here with me.

Pray for our country.

Pray for its heart.

Pray that our people

can make a new start.

Pray for our country.

Pray for its soul.

Pray that our people

again will be whole.

Day ends.  Night falls.

The stillness comes.

It’s time for us to rest.

And in the quiet

of the night,

we know we’ve done our best.

May your day be like a butterfly:

delicate and light.

Touching gently here and there.

Beautiful…and bright.

I’ll water my plants.

I’ll make my bed.

I’ll darn some holes

with needle and thread.

And, when those pesky

chores are done,

I’ll look around

 and find some fun!

May this day be

bright and breezy.

Fun and games.

All easy-peasy.

And when you pause

to check around,

may you find

you’ve lost a pound!

Technology is not my friend.

We do not get along.

I think I should “intuit”

but I must “intuit” wrong.

I used to color Easter eggs

to decorate my table.

But now with the high cost of eggs,

to waste them….i’m not able.
