Today’s a new beginning
and I wish for you no less
than a day of inner sunshine
filled with peace and happiness.
Today’s a new beginning
and I wish for you no less
than a day of inner sunshine
filled with peace and happiness.
Good morning, Friend.
This day is new.
The joy comes bubbling
up in you.
Good morning, Friend.
Joy fills your heart.
Another day.
Another start.
The weather’s raw.
The cold bites hard.
White frost spreads thick
ccross the yard.
The driveway’s slick.
The falls are quick.
Best be wary.
January.
I’m making resolutions
for the year of Twenty-Five.
I’ll be a better person.
My endeavors all will thrive.
I’ll exercise. I’ll lose some weight.
I will no more procrastinate.
I’ll shun a plate of candy
for some carrots and some peas.
And I‘ll use a tissue daintily
should I be forced to sneeze.
Like Job, I’ll wait quite patiently
when I must stand in line.
When it rains I will remember that
one day it will be fine.
I’ll promptly do each boring chore.
I’ll work without complaint.
And when it’s done, I’ll do one more.
(And smile.)
You’ll think I am a saint.
I’ll file my taxes. Pay my bills.
I’ll make no mountains from mole hills.
In short, you’re just about to see,
in Twenty-Five, a whole new Me!
I send you blessings for this day
and hope that you receive them,
so ev’rything you want for you
appears and you achieve them.
Life is better
with a bit of money.
To our daily bread
we can add some honey.
The morning comes.
Another day.
We strive to do our best.
And then the night releases us
and we can take our rest.
Goodnight, my Friend.
The day is done.
Lay down your head to rest.
Close now your eyes.
Let slumber come.
And know you’ve done your best.
I live alone with one old cat, and
she lives here with me.
She stares with wide, unblinking eyes
as she considers me….
The Felon-in-Chief
better watch his nose.
In case, like Pinocchio’s,
it grows.
