Today is Earth Day.

 Spring is here!

The weather’s vibrant:

 Bright! And Clear!

The sky is blue.

The clouds drift high,

and troubles seem to pass us by.

Today is Earth Day.

We are blessed.

This Planet seems like

Just the Best!

I hope today that you will find

deep satisfaction in your mind.

You’ll be content, when day is through,

‘cause all has gone quite well for you.

The ants are marching cross the floor,

from outer wall right for the door.

The Spring Invasion has begun!

But, I will Fight Them, Ev’ry One!

I’m missing Daphne quite a lot.

I’ve turn into a watering pot.

She’s just a cat.  So I can’t see

how she ever got this grip on me.

Close your eyes, my little one.

Let slumber overtake you.

Sleep with quiet dreams in peace

till dawning light awakes you.

I hope your day is ordinary.

Nothing gritchy.  Or contrary.

I hope things go just as they should

and turn out as you wish they would.

Ask your Doctor!  He won’t lie!

I’ve got a product you should buy!

Odds are good that you won’t die!

It’s time to do my daily chores –

Clean up the sink.  Mop up the floors.

Sort the laundry.  Wash my clothes.

Water the plants.  Coil up the hose.

There sure should be a better way

to spend the hours of one’s day.

I ponder ‘bout what life is for…

then vacuum cat hair off the floor.
