Some folks plant tulips in the fall,
anticipating Spring.
But I don’t waste my time at all.
There is No Joy they’ll bring.
I share space with pesky rabbits,
with their tulip-eating habits.
A rabbit’s feast is at its prime
when spring turns into Tulip Time.
WE are the leaders we’re looking for.
WE are the ones who’ll do it.
WE are the ones who care the most.
And WE will get us through it.

Time to say goodbye to summer.
Time to let the season pass.
No more sprinkling with the water.
No more mowing of the grass.
No more lazing in the sunshine
as the seedlings stretch and grow.

Time to feel the rain and snow.
In autumn, there’s a mixed reaction –
sadness laced with satisfaction.
Pulling out still blooming plants
is just a yearly circumstance.
Tho summer plants have ceased to grow,
it still is hard to see them go.
May you enjoy a day that’s full,
and rich with satisfaction —
a day that’s filled with happiness,
with love the main attraction.
