Blessings be with you, my friend,

from this day’s start until its end.

Blessings cup you through the day,

on ev’ry step, along your way.

D Day came.

And D Day went.

A now, historic, old event.

We sent our troops.

A nation’s pride.

And some men fell.

  And some men died.

Now let the soft, sweet hush of night

close gentle on your day.

Let welcome dreams of happiness

sweep pain and cares away.

Sleep quiet through these hours of night.

Take comfort in your rest.

And wake to hope tomorrow brings.

And know that you are blessed.

Princess eyes me haughtily.

Her frank disdain is clear to see.

She gazes at me steadily.

The queen – with her obedient me.

A dog will come.  And sit.  And stay.

A dog will join in work.  Or play.

A cat will do what cats will do.

That won’t include obeying you.

Words of hope.

Of love.  Of joy.

Of reconciliation.

Sympathy.

Apology.

Atonement.  Expiation.

Words that lift.

Help others grow.

 Share the best of all we know.

Send out words you’d like to share.

Speak the words that show you care.

Today’s a day of memories.

Some fade, while others last.

And all those tangled memories

 together make our past.

Kids grow up.

And Graduate.

We watch them as they grow.

 Their eyes shine bright with eagerness.

Where did those young years go?

I like to hope

that man is good

and smarter than a robot.

But as I watch

the evening news

I must admit

I think not.

Today’s a day for happiness.

Today’s a day for joy.

May ev’rything that comes today

be something you enjoy.

Today’s a day for friendship

and for beauty for your eyes.

May all that comes into your life

bring welcome, glad surprise.
