There are dirty dishes in my sink.
It’s just impossible to think
that I’m the one who left them there…
there’s no one else the blame to share…
I asked a genie for some wishes –
that he’d clean up the dirty dishes.
But, no, they’re still just waiting there….
I’m asking you: is that quite fair?
The pretty February sun
is brighting up our day.
Its smile is reassurance
that Spring’s just a month away!
Night falls, and we close down our day.
We head for quiet sleep.
And now our eyes are closing.
Our rest is full, and deep.
Behold the dancing daffodils:
they spread their sunshine wide.
They splash delights of color as
they bring the Spring inside.
We send blessings to our travelers
for a safe, convenient trip,
for a flight that’s uneventful,
not a single hitch or blip!

The forecast is for drizzle –
for a day of squishy weather.
There’s no use in complaining.
We are all in this together.
Sharon is a techno-whiz.
She always makes things work.
She does it with such kindness that
I don’t feel like a jerk.
