The moon and Jupiter hang around

like playmates in the sky –

casting gold light upon the land

as the earth spins silent by.

Choice by Choice

Choice by choice we

choose the steps

that say who we will be.

Choice by choice we

etch the path

that marks our destiny.

May peace surround you through this night.

May comfort cup your head.

May you slip in to gentle rest

and sleep sweet in your bed.

Today’s a day for leprechauns and blue forget-me-nots.

A day for colored rainbows and for flowers in their pots.

Today’s a day for giving thanks for all the ones we love.

And a day for breathing deep the air that fills us from above.

Today’s a day for sending love  to those we wish we knew.

Today’s a day of sharing and I share my love with you.

Let me sing you a lullaby.

Let me sing you a song.

Let me sing you a gentle tune

so you can hum along.

Let me sing you a rainbow

for color in your eyes.

Let me sing you happiness,

with bright blue, sunlit skies.

I’ve fin’ly got enuf zucchini –

from football-size To teeny-weeny.

My yards’s a rolling sea of green –with

more zucchini than you’ve ever seen.

The zucchini’s an October treat.

More zucchini than rabbits can eat!

It’s a world of vicious anger.

It’s a world of brutal hate.

May it also be a world of love

before it gets too late.

When pondering the nature of things,

i look for a resolution.

I end up scratching my baffled head,

concluding there’s No Solution.

My Early Girl tomatoes are

still ripening on the vine….

soaking up October sunshine….

looking pretty….tasting fine!

We’ll never win the Peace Prize,

but we all can make a start –

by loving one another,

holding Peace within our heart.
