to start off 2021.

The virus is relentless.

This year’s death count has begun.

Google always knows what time it is.

Google always knows the date.

I get tangled in time and space.

Google always keeps me straight.

I wonder where cars go at night…..

taillights glowing, headlights bright.

They pass all night in a steady flow.

I wonder where these cars all go?

Happy New Year, Everyone!

A bright New Year has just begun.

Let’s fill this year with hope and health

and joy and happiness and wealth.

It’s time to pause a moment.

It’s time to stop and rest.

It’s time to sit in silence

and know that we are blessed.

It’s time for hearts to settle down,

for ugliness to cease.

It’s time to mend one’s wounded soul.

It’s time to feel some peace.

This is the Year that Never Was.

This is the Year We Lost.

This is the year that chills our minds

with its frightful human cost.

We’re saying Good-Bye to 2020.

This was the Year of Our Sorrow.

We’re looking at 2021.

We pray things are better tomorrow.
