Kids grow up.
And Graduate.
We watch them as they grow.
Their eyes shine bright with eagerness.
Where did those young years go?
Kids grow up.
And Graduate.
We watch them as they grow.
Their eyes shine bright with eagerness.
Where did those young years go?
I like to hope
that man is good
and smarter than a robot.
But as I watch
the evening news
I must admit
I think not.
Today’s a day for happiness.
Today’s a day for joy.
May ev’rything that comes today
be something you enjoy.
Today’s a day for friendship
and for beauty for your eyes.
May all that comes into your life
bring welcome, glad surprise.
My new computer gives me fits.
There– on the desk– it
sulks, and sits.
Giving me the Evil Eye.
‘Cause it is smarter –far—than I.
My pink petunias like it hot.
But hot’s a temp that we have not.
In honesty, I’d have to say:
it’s been a dull and driply May.
Here’s a thought to make you laugh.
Think of an elephant-sized giraffe.
Now give that creature an elephant’s ears
and let it shed some crocodile tears.
Invite it in for a cup of tea.
We’ll share a laugh
‘tween you and me.
The rain plops down.
The wind cuts bold.
The little plants shiver
in the damp…in the cold.
Yet it is May.
The little plants know
that this is the time
for them to grow.
So they lift their heads
from their chilly beds
to smile up at the sun,
and the joy they spread
from their flower bed
brings warmth to ev’ryone.
The light is breaking in the East
to push the dark away.
The morning offers, once again,
her gift of One New Day.
My Princess is a single cat.
She’s now my One and Only.
She pads around this quiet house.
I wonder if she’s lonely?
I’ve bought a new computer.
It’s Advanced Technology.
I hope that I can use it.
It is brighter far than me.
There are no plain instructions
that will teach you how to use it.
For in this modern day
you are expected to intuit.
