Living the Aging Life

I want a fairy to dance by

with magic wand and twinkling eye.

She’ll coax and tug me by my hand

and whisk me off to Fairy Land.

My early morning garden

is a quiet place of rest.

And in the silent sunrise

this old earth seems at her best.

Make life explode with joy

for you as you go through this day.

May you know fun and happiness

each step along life’s way.

America is standing tall.

Our flag is flying high.

Hand in hand…across this land…

Together.

America.

My country.

Full assault on liberty.

America.

My homeland.

We are standing.

We are free.

There’s lots of love in this big world.

There’s also room for hate.

And each of us must make our choice.

Love.

Retaliate.

We each one choose what we will do.

We choose who we will be.

And choice by choice we make our lives.

We etch our destiny.

Live a little.

Laugh a lot.

Offer thanks for what you’ve got.

Do the best that you can do.

Rest content the whole night through.

Let me sing a lullaby.

Let me cradle you.

Let me hold you in my arms.

Let me comfort you.

Let me hum a soft refrain.

Let me soothe your sleep.

Let me ease you into rest

that’s loving, soft, and deep.

Blessings be with you, my friend,

from this day’s start until its end.

Blessings cup you through the day,

on ev’ry step, along your way.

D Day came.

A now, historic, old event.

We sent our troops.

A nation’s pride.
