I’ll water my plants.
I’ll make my bed.
I’ll darn some holes
with needle and thread.
And, when those pesky
chores are done,
I’ll look around
and find some fun!
I’ll water my plants.
I’ll make my bed.
I’ll darn some holes
with needle and thread.
And, when those pesky
chores are done,
I’ll look around
and find some fun!
May this day be
bright and breezy.
Fun and games.
All easy-peasy.
And when you pause
to check around,
may you find
you’ve lost a pound!
Technology is not my friend.
We do not get along.
I think I should “intuit”
but I must “intuit” wrong.
I used to color Easter eggs
to decorate my table.
But now with the high cost of eggs,
to waste them….i’m not able.
I’ve just returned my taxes.
Well, I didn’t really do it.
I had to have a proxy fill the
tax forms from Intuit.
But we used a nifty product
that is now called Turbo Tax.
I’m sky high on that product
and I praise it to the max.
“Go get this form.” “No, don’t use that.”
“Now double check just where you’re at.”
They guide you through the process,
though it really isn’t fun.
Tonight I’m here to celebrate
because the Damned Thing’s Done!
It’s Girl Scout cookie time again!
I love those shining faces.
I love those cheery, friendly smiles,
sometimes with awkward braces.
I love to choose some cookies,
pass some cash, and take some change.
Whatever the transaction,
it will be a fair exchange.
I love to know that kids still work
and play and plan in groups.
My day just got much happier
because of Girl Scout troops.
I leave the cookie table
knowing I have done my part,
to help these kids who reach right out
and tangle up my heart.
Morning comes and shoos away
the vestiges of night.
It brings us all Eternal Hope
that life will be all right.
March is angry.
Weather’s cold.
Keeps on raining.
That gets old.
Days are dreary –-
dull and gray.
Glad that April’s
on her way.
May Blessings keep you safe today.
May Blessings fill your air.
May Blessings lift your heart with light
and shield you with their care.
Sleep well tonight
in your warm bed.
On this soft pillow,
rest your head.
