Living the Aging Life

I hope this day

will be agreeable,

with nothing that is

unforeseeable.

I hope all goes just

as they should

and turn out

as I wish they would.

Some things work out.

And, some things won’t.

I don’t know why

some do…some don’t.

But I have learned,

as time goes by,

that nothing works

if you don’t try.

May your trip be smooth and flawless –

Quite an uneventful flight!

May connections mesh together –

Not a one in dark of night!

May your fam’ly all be healthy.

May you laugh with high school friends.

May your heart be light and happy–

a good dream that never ends.

May you come home fresh and joyous

with good mem’ries of the past…

with a happiness inside your heart

and joy that now will last.

My garden’s resting, quiet,

in the golden morning sun.

The buzzing bees….

the gentle breeze…

bid “Welcome!” to each one.

Samantha likes to snuggle close.

A lap’s the place for her!

If you will draw her near to you,

then, in return:  She’ll Purr!

Sometimes it takes a lullaby to

heal a wounded soul.

Sometimes a simple lullaby

can help a heart feel whole.

I’m sending you this lullaby

in hopes it is a way

to soothe whatever hurts your heart

and eases it  away.

Honor is a simple word.

Yet, many know it not.

Others used to know it well.

Still others have forgot.

May these blessings cup and hold you

 every step along your way.

May they comfort and enfold you

as you make your way today.

I’m a very late bloomer,

but I want you to know

my hearts’s young and happy

and there’s still time to grow.

The day awakes. Another dawn.

The past might not have been.

Our eyes lift up.  A fresh new start.

We get to try again.
