There’s no snowpack.

It’s pretty scary.

Here we are.

It’s January.

Mountain snow

is what we drink.

Time to worry ––

don’t you think?

It’s time to act,

so I’ll begin.

I’ve ordered in

supplies of gin.

Another year has come and gone.

It took its turn, and then moved on.

The next year is an empty slate.

We turn the page.  And now, we wait.

Happy New Year ev’ryone!

The planets keep on spinning.

Fresh new year has just begun….

another New  Beginning!

Today’s the shortest of the year.

It all starts looking up from here.

Two candles keep a watch today

so things won’t be so hard.

Two candles keep their vigil.

Two candles stand on guard.

The candle burns.

Steady and true.

Lifting its flame.

Shining for you.

Timeless verse I know it’s not,

but these small rhymes are all I got.

I see the holidays are near.

Sometimes we look back on our lives

Drink your coffee early.

With caffeine running through your veins,

you’ll likely be less surly.
