A ship’s in the harbor
swinging round with the tide–
three football fields long,
but not very wide.
It’s bringing in cargo
from a far away port.
It can’t off load here.
Our piers are too short.
So it drifts in our harbor,
passing the day.
And then it will leave us,
just sailing away.
This is a nice story. I hadn’t thought about these as short stories.
