Change in the Weather

I’d like to hear a touch of rain

splashing onto the window glass.

I love the summer sunshine,

but it’s time for it to pass.

It’s time for Northwest gloom and drizzle.

We’ve enough of heat and sizzle.

I’ve grown quite tired

of this summer spark.

I’m ready for Northwest

wet and dark,
