Puget Sound Snow

December rain has turned to snow

all ‘round the Puget Sound.

Outside, instead of puddles and pools,

there’re inches of snow around.

We aren’t strangers to the rain,

but, the snow’s a diff’rent matter.

We’re used to soggy clothes and feet.

But our teeth don’t us’lly chatter.
