I’m making resolutions
for the year of Twenty-Five.
I’ll be a better person.
My endeavors all will thrive.
I’ll exercise. I’ll lose some weight.
I will no more procrastinate.
I’ll shun a plate of candy
for some carrots and some peas.
And I‘ll use a tissue daintily
should I be forced to sneeze.
Like Job, I’ll wait quite patiently
when I must stand in line.
When it rains I will remember that
one day it will be fine.
I’ll promptly do each boring chore.
I’ll work without complaint.
And when it’s done, I’ll do one more.
(And smile.)
You’ll think I am a saint.
I’ll file my taxes. Pay my bills.
I’ll make no mountains from mole hills.
In short, you’re just about to see,
in Twenty-Five, a whole new Me!
It’s an inspiration just reading this resolution!

it humbles me to be of service to the younger members of my family. Aunt M
