May today bring Rainbows.
May today bring Joy.
May today fill your world
with the things you enjoy.
May today bring Rainbows.
May today bring Joy.
May today fill your world
with the things you enjoy.
I made a pot of Spinach Soup.
I really have to say –
It’s a Gastronomic Blessing
on this raw December day.
The size of the cities of Pittsburgh or St. Louis
Three times the population of my city, Everett
100 Americans die each hour.
I stop and bow my head.
100 Americans die each hour.
I weep for all the dead.
The Christmas Star is coming.
It will shine in the evening sky.
It’s been about 800 years
since this event passed by.
The skies are wet and clouded
so we might not see it there.
But, we will know it’s happening—
precious, bright, and rare.
I like to take my daily walk
and get out in the air.
I like to see the homes and lawns
and check whatever’s there.
I like to leave behind the thoughts
of things that grieve and tire us.
I like to have some time without
the politics and virus.
My hair is growing down the back of my neck.
I feel like a Baboon.
I’m watching for other Suspicious Signs.
I hope this Virus ends soon.
May blessings fall on you today
like snowflakes in a storm.
May they surround and comfort you
and keep you safe and warm.
Today I’m baking cookies.
It’s a friendly thing to do.
You get the fun of mixing them,
and, then, you eat them, too.
My Seahawks’ sign is lighted
and I’m hoping for the best.
What the Hawks will do in action
is most anybody’s guess.
Sometimes they win. Sometimes they lose.
Their fate seems destined to confuse.
I hope they’ll play with skill and zest…
but, really, it is any one’s guess.
Each day’s a time for happiness.
Each day’s a time to sow.
Each day’s a time for blessings.
Each day’s a time to grow.
