California’s burning.
The mind can’t take it in.
We see the devastation.
When did Hell begin?
California’s burning.
The mind can’t take it in.
We see the devastation.
When did Hell begin?
Character. And decency.
A man of good intent.
Our country could use more of this
in ev’ry President.
I burn a candle for the world.
Its light shines clear and true.
We all need light to find our way.
Here’s light for me and you.
Choc’late passes ‘tween the lips.
Then, lingers on the waist and hips.
May you know happiness today
with joy that fills your heart…
…a little sizzle of delight in
ev’rything you start.
It rains.
It rains.
It rains some more.
The forecast?
There’s more rain in store.
It falls on wet and sodden ground.
It falls on ev’rything around.
It rains.
I think I’ll do some exercise.
I’ll head outside, and Run!
I’ll do some hearty Jumping Jacks!
Pretend that they are fun!
Or maybe I’ll lounge on the couch….
pick up my reading glasses…
and thumb a quiet page or two
until this feeling passes.
It’s Rubatino Saturday –
belated garbage pick-up day.
The big trucks dominate the street.
And I stay home. I don’t compete.
Low clouds.
A steadfast mask of gray.
Wet skies.
Another Northwest day.
Health and wealth and happiness.
Fam’ly, friends, and such.
A magic trail of pixie dust.
Or do I ask too much?
