The future is waiting.
This darkness must pass.
Hope trembles among us.
These troubles won’t last.
The future is waiting.
This darkness must pass.
Hope trembles among us.
These troubles won’t last.
November’s sulking.
Dull and gray.
Raw and chilly.
A dismal day.
Did you see the moon last night?
Fat and full with bulging light?
A golden glow spilled through the sky
as fat old moon slipped silent by.
May this day erupt with Blessings.
May your heart lift up and soar.
And when all around are Blessings…
may you suddenly find more.
It takes a lot of choc’late
to live through a lost election.
A fresh baked batch of brownies
makes a start in that direction!
May this day be filled with blessings.
May your hours be free from strife.
May you feel the deep contentment
of a full, and happy. life.
Put a candle in the window.
Shine a light for all to see.
Tell the world that in this house
we choose Democracy.
I’ve had the latest COVID shot.
While there, I got the flu.
I’m current on the shingles
and, I’ve done pneumonia, too.
I’m not an “Anti-Vaxxer”,
though I Hate to be injected!
But it sure does feel quite good to me
to know that I’m protected.
Election Day has come and gone.
Our country made its choice.
Although I spoke against it,
I was an outmatched voice.
I ponder on the men we chose
to lead this sacred land,
and hope, if I live long enough,
one day I’ll understand.
It’s time to let my garden rest.
It’s time to hunker in.
It’s time to end the busy-ness
and let the quiet in.
