COVID Roulette is a dangerous game.
It’s not a game I want to play.
But, millions of un-vaccinated folk
think COVID Roulette is Okay.

I plucked a Blessing from the wind
and touched it to my heart.
And then I tossed it back again
to make a brand new start.
Are those footballs in the harbor?
No, each lump’s a baby seal.
They flip their slipp’ry bodies
to show off their Cute-Appeal.
Let’s toss a blessing into the wind,
and may that blessing grow.
And may it warm and comfort you
every place you go.
The candle shines its steady light
to guide you through this day.
No step can be uncertain with
this light to show the way.
It’s cloudy, gray, and overcast –
a break from sun-streaked skies at last!
I know that one should not complain,
but it’s quite nice to have some rain.
We had a gentle rain last night.
The air was soft and sweet.
The cool gray skies shed drops of rain.
We had a break from heat.
Six hundred twenty-one thousand dead.
The numbers chill the mind.
We try for understanding.
What solace can we find?
The figurers climb and climb and climb
while doubters vacillate.
But COVID’s hand of death writes on.
COVID doesn’t wait.
I closed the windows. and
I shut the door. and
I pulled on a nice warm sweater.
Overnight the air turned cool and soft.
I hope things will get
a bit wetter.
Kids are heading out to kill.
They’re bringing guns to school.
The playground is a jungle.
Forget the Golden Rule.
