The candle’s burning brightly,
burning clear to light your way.
The steady light shines clearly
so you’ll know your world’s OK.
The candle’s burning brightly,
burning clear to light your way.
The steady light shines clearly
so you’ll know your world’s OK.
The blood is running in the streets.
It’s Hunting Season on Man.
The killing’s been so steady…
it’ s hard to think when it began.
They kill at school.
They kill in a shop.
They kill a cop at
a traffic stop.
They kill in church.
They kill at work.
They kill the owner.
They kill the clerk.
They kill the shopper
or the passerby.
They kill to kill —
kill, so someone will die.
This is America….
what we’ve come to be.
A symbol for the world…
of Killing Liberty.
Yesterday we cleaned up the house.
We cleaned from bottom to top.
We washed and fluffed and picked things up.
We didn’t take time to stop.
We mopped and dusted, wiped and swept
till the house began to shine.
Now the house is a sparkling place
and the world is feeling fine.
I found a genie in a bottle.
I named that genie Aristotle.
“Aristotle”, I said, “I’d like to see
a lot of change in the world round me.
I’d like more happy and
I’d like more health.
I’d like more comfort
and I’d like more wealth.
Let’s bring the world
some glad surprise and
put more beauty
into every one’s eyes.”
So now it’s up to
Aristotle.
I’ve put a lot of faith
in that genie in a bottle.
We’ll run around and count the bodies.
We’ll bury those who’re dead.
“It’s our Noble Right to kill ourselves,”
the NRA spokesman said.
Lib’rals run around and spout:
“We can’t have any more deaths.”
They might as well sit quiet.
They might as well save their breaths.
We leave our homes each morning –
head to work, or school, or fun ==
And somewhere in America,
another shooter loads his gun.
There’s a sea in the city…
its surface like glass…
its waters unmarked
by the boats as they pass….
My Kitties like their breakfast and
they like it right on time.
If its late, they show displeasure
with their little kitty whine.
Bless the day that waits before us.
Bless the hours as they pass.
Bless the face I see before me,
smiling, in my looking-glass.
Cargo ships are moving
on the Suez Canal.
But, things are getting testy, and
I’m telling you, Pal,
that Someone made a Boo Boo,
and Someone has to Pay.
The Port Authority is clear:
That “Someone” isn’t They.
They’re sending bills …
Yikes! Yowie!! Yes, Sirree…
it cost almost a billion bucks
to set that big ship free.
Nine hundred million dollars to
correct that big mistake…
If I had to pay it,
it would make my stomach ache.
So the story isn’t over, and
I’m telling you, Pal,
it costs a lot of money
for the Suez Canal.
Today’s a Day of Promise.
Today’s a Day to Sing.
Today’s a Day of Laughter.
Today it Feels like Spring!
