I’m wallowing in a Sea of Confusion.

I don’t know what to think.

I don’t know whether to wring my hands

or to feel plain Tickled Pink.

I don’t know whether the Virus Curse

is going from Bad to Even Worse

or if it’s doing as vaccines should

and changing its course from Bad to Good.

No matter what graphs or charts I see

some expert’s been ahead of me.

And the only constant that I see

is that the experts don’t agree.

You can hug your kids.

You can leave the house.

You can pet the cat.

You can kiss your spouse.

But Don’t Do This and Don’t Do That

And Never Let Down your Guard.

Who knew that living with COVID

would turn out to be so hard.

The guards are a famous tourist attraction.

They can handle any Crowd Reaction.

(It’s mainly tourists with their camera action).

And the public gets viewing satisfaction.

Their feet must find it terribly hard

to stand all day as the Palace Guard.
