Winter chill is coming.
Summer season’s past its crest.
Autumn glow spreads out among us
as the earth prepares to rest.
Winter chill is coming.
Summer season’s past its crest.
Autumn glow spreads out among us
as the earth prepares to rest.
The morning sun pinks up the sky
and spreads its golden glow.
It shoos away the sleeping night
and wakes the earth below.
I think of you this morning.
Hope you’ll have a lovely day.
Hope that life will treat you kindly.
Hope that things will go your way.
October gold is in the sky.
Quick chill cuts through the air.
Seasons make their sudden change –
with beauty ev’rywhere.
Blessings be with you today.
May friends be all around you.
May all your steps be sure and swift
and peace and love surround you.
Eyes are precious.
We get just two.
Treat them gently.
These have to do.
If I were a cat,
I’d take a nap.
I’d find myself
a soft, warm lap.
I’d lick my paws.
I’d groom my fur.
When all felt right,
I’d start to purr.
An autumn fog blots out the world.
The sky sulks — dull and gray.
A heavy chill spreads out its touch
as summer slips away.
Summer’s over.
Autumn’s here.
Getting colder!
Winter’s near…
We’re just back from the B Reactor –
the sobering “atomic factor.”
Rising from the sagebrush, tall,
a “hot”, reactive, pulsing wall…
Eighty years have come and gone
but this “hot” place lives on and on…
Generations not yet born
will come to gawk.
And some wll mourn.
