We wake to find another year!
A year of joy, and great good cheer—
a year to know that we are blessed
with zest for life and happiness.
We wake to find ourselves renewed
with firm commitment to the good.
We wake assured that we will be
the kind of folks we want to see —
in the New Year of 2026!
New Year Moon
High above the Eastern sky
a New Year Moon is floating by.
It comes to us – a Special Gift –
to give our hearts a New Year’s lift!
Old Jack Frost
Old Jack Frost is nosing ‘round.
He colors up the frozen ground.
He dances through the chill of night
to paint our landscape shades of white.
The Groundhog
I’m living like a Groundhog.
I snuck out.
I had a fling.
But now I know how cold it is,
I’ve hunkered down till Spring.
Reflections on Choice
The world we’re in’s a contradiction.
Both a Blessing and Affliction.
Each of us must make our choice:
What we speak. The words we voice.
Each of must choose what we
decide to stand for. Who we’ll be.
In 2026
After Christmas
Christmas comes.
And then departs.
We still have Christmas in our hearts.
Christmas doesn’t disappear.
It comes again…
Same time!

Google forecasts rain and snow.
I doubt that it will go that low.
“Snow” implies a bit of sizzle.

You try to call me “Kitty Kat”,
but I’m NO ORDINARY CAT!
So, if you please, I’d think it swell
if you’d call me Mehitabel.
