COVID Virus Blues

I’ve got the COVID Virus Blues.

I just can’t seem to shake it.

Three quarters of a million dead…

My mind just can’t quite take it.

I’ve got my shots.  I wear a mask.

I keep my social distance.

I do whatever else I can

at CDC’s insistence.

The virus is a heavy threat

that clouds the way before us.

We long to see a light of hope

to brighten and restore us.
