Every day I’m a wee bit older.
Every day I’m a bit more tired.
Every day I’m more astonished
‘bout the news that has transpired.
Every day I struggle to adapt.
My life just rearranges!

how to handle all these changes.

Enough, Already!
This pandemic’s not been easy.
And, in fact, it’s been quite tough.
And I am willing to admit
that I’ve had quite enough.
Gentle Night
The gentle night
lays its quiet hand
over everything I see.
Day’s end brings rest to
my weary soul
and sleep to comfort me.
School Bus
I saw the school bus stopping
and I couldn’t believe my eyes!
It’s picking up kids for school again –
what a Joyous, Glad Surprise!
I Wish for You….
I wish for you a lovely day.
I wish you a heart that’s light.
I wish you a day of dancing steps
where everything’s just right.
To my friends in Genealogy Book Club: April Meeting
It’s April and it’s nearly time
for us to meet again.
But, still, because of COVID
we are mainly staying in.
So we’ll stay close to our own home
and lift our coffee cup.
And drink together to the day
when life will open up.
Ballad of the Suez Canal: Verse Three
We had a giant super-Moon.
I’m sayin’ for what its worth
that thanks to that great Supermoon
we got our money’s worth!
It took the work of man and tide
to help that ship break free.
And when that giant ship moved out,
she was a sight to see!
We’ve had an Epic Drama and
I’m glad to tell you, Pal.
that traffic’s moving right along on
the Big Suez Canal.
Change
This awful pandemic has changed my life.
I sometimes wonder when
the life I lived and the things I did
will come my way again.
Virus Ennui
550,000 have died.
We hardly even pause.
Over six hundred died last night —
chalked up to a Virus cause.
We go about our daily task.
Some do, some don’t put on a mask.
Some say they’re simply bored to death.
Others draw their final breath.
Everett Harbor
A ship lays in the harbor
gently moving, to and fro.
It’s waiting for an open dock.
Till then: no place to go!
