I’m sending Love to Sharon –
–busy teaching, though remote! –
always leading and adapting
to help children stay afloat.
I’m sending her Rich Blessings
for a Bright and Happy Day—
for a day of Vibrant Sunshine
filled with Joy along her way.

I’m burning a candle for Cheryl
for Blessings for her day
with Joy and Love and Wisdom
as guides along her way.
It’s been a year ago today
since I went out to lunch…
(with nieces and my daughter…
a delightful, charming bunch!)
The whole world hit the COVID wall.
Life hasn’t been the same at all.
It’s been a dismal year of loss…
a terrible price in human cost.
A hang glider
swooped through
the sky last night,
looping circles above
the shore
from Mukilteo to
Howarth Park.
Then I saw him
no more.
Tomorrow I’ll follow a rainbow.
Tomorrow I’ll reach for the sky.
Tomorrow I’ll pick a fresh daffodil
and wave to a cloud passing by.
Tomorrow I’ll watch a bunny hop.
I’ll chase a butterfly.
Tomorrow the world will be sunny.
It will be here by and by.
I’ve COVID Virus of the Brain.
I’ve got it Bad.
I must explain.
I cannot do
what I used to do.
My Brain has Quit.
My Brain is Through.
My Brain has fin’ly
Let Me Down.
I cannot go with
you to town.
525,000 dead.
The numbers keep on growing.
The beat of death continues.
Sometimes rising. Sometimes slowing.
The Govs are op’ning up their states.
They’re over all this fuss!
The Govs are done with the Virus.
But, it’s not done with us.
The forecast is for rain again –
another Day of Drizzle.
The winter is just dragging on.
I’d like some Heat and Sizzle!
An egg is fast and
micro-wavable.
Splash, crack and zap
and it’s on the table.
Today I went out in the sun
to plant my Sweet Pea seeds.
I scraped away the moss and leaves
and pulled up winter’s weeds.
I got my Sweet Peas planted–
an early rite of Spring!
I can hardly wait for all the joy
my blooming Sweet Peas bring.
