A lullaby is in the air.
It’s gentle notes surround me.
The lilt of a quiet lullaby
brings happiness around me.
A lullaby is in the air.
It’s gentle notes surround me.
The lilt of a quiet lullaby
brings happiness around me.
…don’t have to fly away to foreign lands
or seek for Lands Enchanted….
I can flourish in my home and yard
and bloom where I am planted….
I’m starting to dream
of my second vaccine
and a possible end to despair.
The first thing I”ll do
I can sure promise you
is take care of my Pirate-y Hair!
There’s a Winter Storm Warning in effect.
It’s shivering cold outside.
If it gets any colder—
Well, what the heck!
I’ll jump neath my covers and hide!
Each day we wake.
Each day we rise.
Each day we strive again
to do the very best we can
for ourselves and our fellow men.
We wash our hands and we wear a mask.
We keep our Social Distance.
We do all the things
we know we should
at the CDC’s insistence.
We stay alive. We try to survive.
We keep our COVID bubble.
We live a simple lifestyle as
we stay out of COVID trouble.
The days turned in to weeks and months.
The months became a year.
The vaccines bring a ray of hope.
Still we live in COVID fear.
To All My Friends in Genealogy Book Club: February Meeting
It’s time to meet with our little bunch
and share our February lunch.
It’s time to visit and talk and chatter
and check on all the things that matter.
But we’re still wrapped in Virus Fear…
…so we’ll miss our Valentine’s this year.
We’ll all be safe and hunkered down.
We’ll check again when March comes ‘round!
Love, Marianna
Winter has fin’ly made it here.
Chill nips at ears and nose.
Canada Cold has dropped our way.
It’s freezing our little toes!
One ray of hope
has trickled through.
There aren’t as many
deaths from Flu.
It’s been a year
since I cut my hair.
I’ve lived in
Hair-Induced Despair.
As soon as I get my
second vaccine…
I’ll find a Salon!
I’ll feel like a Queen!
