Google’s got her Mojo back.
She’s up to speed again.
“Today is gray and cloudy.
Tomorrow we’ll have rain.”
Google’s got her Mojo back.
She’s up to speed again.
“Today is gray and cloudy.
Tomorrow we’ll have rain.”
Today I got my booster shot.
I want you all to know:
the shot was easy, soft, and quick!
Again, I’m Good to Go!
Uvalde, Texas
The Uvalde children haunt me…
…ever present in my mind.
Always sending out their sad reproach
to a world that wasn’t kind.
orld that wasn’t kind.
The Uvalde children haunt me.
No more laughter. No more fun.
They lost their fresh-faced innocence
at the barrel of a gun.
1.06 Million Deaths
When it began, they didn’t know
the damage it would do.
They thought it might be likened
to the 1918 flu.
They didn’t know the awful cost…
as COVID took its toll.
They didn’t know the challenge
to the fragile human soul.
Long months have passed.
It waxed and waned.
The death toll keeps on rising.
COVID doesn’t go away –
resilient, and surprising.
So COVID lingers with us…
always waiting for its chance,
waiting, ready to include us
in its own macabre dance.
My candle burns for all the world,
and, my candle burns for me.
My candle burns for those I know,
and, for those I cannot see.
My candle burns for those who hope,
and, for those who feel despair.
My candle burns for those who love,
and, for dreamers everywhere.
24 toddlers at their play.
First, terror…then then they’re dead.
Grown up bodies
on the floor
as the blood
begins to spread.
Small bodies in the graveyard.
They speak, as children can.
They tell the awful story of
the cruelty of man.
If I were King of England
I would never make my bed.
I wouldn’t do my shopping.
I’d send some one else instead.
I wouldn’t clean the litter box.
I wouldn’t hunt the unpaired socks.
I’d entertain distinguished bores.
But never, ever, do my chores.
Today I send you love and joy
for happiness in your day.
And, I’m tossing in some pixie dust
for sparkle along the way.
