The Yang Ming’s in the harbor.
Quiet.
Waiting for her turn.
She’ll soon off-load her cargo.
Back to Taiwan she’ll return.
The Yang Ming’s in the harbor.
Quiet.
Waiting for her turn.
She’ll soon off-load her cargo.
Back to Taiwan she’ll return.
Prince Philip died at 99.
He lived to a ripe old age.
All eyes will be on England.
His death’s taking center stage.
A crow is pecking across my lawn.
He’s pecking in a steady row.
If I were a bug, I’d hunker down…
I’d try to get away from that crow!
What the World needs most
is a lot more Words….
and it needs those words to rhyme.
It needs more words that
lilt and sing
and cause our hearts to climb.
It needs more words
of joy and praise —
of happiness and love.
And it needs more words
that lift our eyes
to the sun-lit sky above.
It needs more words
that heal our hearts
and extend a helping hand.
It needs more words of
Brotherhood
to reach out across this land.
25 hundred died last night.
Is this never going to end?
Just when things were hopeful,
we’ve started an upward trend.
Some folks went without a mask –
thinking that all was fine.
For some, that was a sad mistake.
Death waited down the line.
It’s been eight weeks since I had a Pepsi.
Those weeks were hard for me.
I THINK I’ve cured my pop addiction.
I THINK I’m Pepsi Free!
It must be hard to be a King
and know the world’s a-twitter
to learn your fam’ly secrets hid
beneath the pomp and glitter.
It must be hard to be a Queen
and reign with majesty,
while knowing in her deepest heart
she’s a lot like you and me.
Ordinary people doing
ordinary things….
ordinary busy-ness
is mostly what life brings.
Every morning when I get up,
I have a thankful heart.
Yesterday has passed away.
I can make a fresh new start.
Girl Scout cookies just aren’t the same
when you pick them up out of a bin.
I like to see the bundled up kid with a box
and a friendly grin.
I hope this doesn’t signal the end
of another long tradition.
But I fear that lots of Girl Scout moms
are a-hopin’ and a-wishin’.
