Kids are good
at ev’ry stage.
But, they grow better
as we age.
Kids are good
at ev’ry stage.
But, they grow better
as we age.
“This day will live in infamy.”
Yet, now, we scarce recall.
Massacres. Wars. And, killings.
Too many to count them all.
May angels walk with you today
to be your shield and guide.
May you be filled with happiness
as angels walk beside.
It rained today.
And the day before.
There’s more rain in the forecast.
I look morosely out the door.
How long can all this rain last?
Some say the sorry state we’re in
Is just Post-COVID madness.
—Some consumed by hate and rage.
—Some washed away with sadness.
Whate’er we’ve got,
I like it not.
I’m sick and tired of badness.
So, you and me,
let’s both agree,
and share a moment’s gladness.
Hooray for US!
The Stilly’s way, way
over its banks.
The water keeps on rising.
The locals say ‘twas times like this
made Noah enterprising.
I roll around upon the floor
to do my exercises.
This work my body doth ignore.
It never loses sizes.
We moved to the 100-Acre-Drive
and I looked for Winnie the Pooh!
— Looked all around!
— Not to be found!
—What was I to do?
So, I stopped in my tracks
and I did relax
with a moment of fun and laughter.
And we settled down
in this part of town
to live Happy Ever After.
“Butterflies and Forget-Me-Nots.”
The books are fin’lly here!
I can hold them in my very hands.
It’s the best day of this year.
Today I sing a lullaby.
its notes float through the air.
I sing this gentle song for you –
to tell you that I care.
