Love thy neighbor.
Mask thy face.
Wash thy hands.
Do not embrace.
We are one with all mankind.
Do thy part.
Always be kind.
Love thy neighbor.
Mask thy face.
Wash thy hands.
Do not embrace.
We are one with all mankind.
Do thy part.
Always be kind.
OMG! I saw a school bus
heading down the Boulevard!
I thought that all our local schools
were still sealed up and barred.
Oh, won’t it be quite wonderful
when children go to school!
…when kids can play outside again
and the Virus doesn’t rule…..
I used to write my little odes
with a quill on old papyrus.
But I’ve found if takes a fast PC
just to get me through this virus.
If this were any ordinary year,
our Kati would choose us a book.
We’d read it with a thoughtful eye,
give the plot a careful look.
We’d study and we’d be prepared
to say what we thought about it.
If we didn’t like it, we’d speak up!
There’d be no doubt about it!
But this is not an ordinary year.
These times are filled with trouble.
We stay alive, we try to survive,
each in our COVID bubble.
So we look ahead to the books we’ll read
and the other things we’ll do,
and we’ll plan our next discussions
for the Year of Twenty-Two.
I’ve had my second Virus shot.
My heart is feeling lighter.
Post-COVID life is kicking in.
The whole world seems much brighter.
Today I got my second dose
of the prized Moderna vaccine.
And, tonight I feel more hopeful
about a future change of scene!
I’m able to go out again.
I’ll cut and perm my Virus Hair.
I can meet my friends for coffee.
I can go almost anywhere!
We were born in the Depression.
We grew up in World War II.
We’ve known our share of troubles.
There’s a lot we’ve made it through.
We know how to cooperate.
We’re willing to do our part.
We also know the frailties that
wrack the human heart.
We can handle the wicked virus…
…its isolation and its fear.
Still, we’re glad to get the new vaccine
with its hope for a better year!
I’ve Corona Virus of the Brain.
It’s a Malady one can’t sustain.
It’s a Malady I know I’ve got.
It didn’t just end with the Virus Shot.
I hope this sickness of the Brain
will start to wither away again
and leave me with the Brain I had
before this Virus got so bad.
I baked an egg in the microwave.
It’s the easiest thing to do.
Splash, crack, zap in the microwave,
and your breakfast prep is through.
“Only” 1500 died last night…
…all these lives were lost.
The death toll may be inching down –
it’s still at a terrible cost.
