The COVID threat’s abating.
It won’t ever go away.
Nine hundred sixty thousand dead –
the count of yesterday.
Our world has been forever changed.
Lives disrupted. Re-arranged.
We’ll go about our daily task….
and, we’ll no longer wear a mask.
The COVID threat’s abating.
It won’t ever go away.
Nine hundred sixty thousand dead –
the count of yesterday.
Our world has been forever changed.

They don’t seem to mention COVID when reporting on Ukraine.
Is the epidemic raging midst the carnage and the pain?
The question’s nagging at me. It’s one I can’t ignore.
Does the Virus take vacation when two armies go to war?
Today is only Yesterday.
It’s just a step ahead.
Today will be Tomorrow
after just a night in bed.
Our Guv says: COVID’s handled.
So, at midnight, we’re unmasked.
The worst is now behind us
‘cause we’ve done as we were asked.
Six million dead around the world…
it’s been a long two years.
We’ve hid and isolated
and we’ve raged and shed some tears.
Most have worked together,
done our part, and we’ve complied.
While a few have shouted “Freedom!”
as their neighbors failed and died.
Putin’s War is an ugly war.
He decides that others must die.
So, he sends his tanks and planes to kill–
while he is well-fed, comfy, and dry.
In the quiet of the morning,
I can hear the early birdsong.
I can feel the gentle winds begin to blow.
In the quiet of the morning,
I can feel the light grow stronger.
I can almost see the flowers as they grow.
In the quiet of the morning,
I can see the shiny brightness
as the light reflects through early morning dew.
In the quiet of the morning,
I can feel my soul grow stronger
as I try to live a life that’s clear and true.
Putin’s War is a cruel war,
growing darker by the hour.
He sends his troops and tanks and planes
to display his brazen power.
I’ll sing a little lullaby
to soothe you through the night.
Its notes will warm and comfort you
so you’ll know all is right.
Tomorrow we’ll have bright blue skies.
The sun will shine again.
Today’s another Northwest day.
Today – we’re having rain.
I’ve sprinkled the world with pixie dust.
I’ve scattered it far and wide…
…on cities and fields and oceans…
… on the towering mountain side.
I’ve spread it in stores and offices…
…and on ev’ry hearth and home…
…on cars and ships and boats and trains…
…wherever man may roam.
The pixie dust brings peace and love
wherever one’s heart may be.
The pixie dust brings promises
of freedom and liberty.
