Today I’ll look for rainbows.
Brilliant colors. Every hue.
Today I’ll look for rainbows.
And, today I’ll think of you.
Today I’ll look for rainbows.
Brilliant colors. Every hue.
Today I’ll look for rainbows.
And, today I’ll think of you.
The Rubatino trucks are out.
They swarm about the street.
They lurch and buck and thrash their gears –
their Dominance complete.
I got my cats new scratchers.
It must feel good to their paws.
They’re mewing with contentment
as they sharpen up their claws.
I weep for our country.
I weep for the hate.
I weep for our future.
I fear it’s too late.
The horror of this Virus
is too much to comprehend.
The awful death rate rises.
The death toll has no end.
…to confuse, disconcert, upset, frustrate….
I’m feeling discombobulated.
I fear I’ll be the one who’s fated
to stare at the world in stark surprise,
unable to trust my very eyes.
I’m reaching for a Rainbow.
It’s nearer to my hand.
And, when I touch this rainbow,
I’ll share it cross our land.
The rain has set a record.
I’m bedraggled. I am wet.
A “river of rain” has fallen.
How much wetter can it get?
It’s a bitter day in history.
Our President’s been impeached.
I bow my head with sorrow.
Our Country’s honor’s breached.
My cotoneaster’s Going.
Yes, it’s Very Nearly Gone.
I’ve had it Many, Many Years!
Now it’s Time for Moving On.
It has grown to be Gigantic.
It has grown All Out of Whack.
My cotoneaster’s Going.
I am cutting it Far Back.
