I’ve Corona Virus of the Brain.
It’s a Malady one can’t sustain.
It’s a Malady I know I’ve got.
It didn’t just end with the Virus Shot.
I hope this sickness of the Brain
will start to wither away again
and leave me with the Brain I had
before this Virus got so bad.
I hope tomorrow morning
I will get my second shot.
I hope I can pick up again
the life I’ve near forgot.
I hope I’ll see a friend again.
I hope I’ll cut my hair.
I hope I’ll have some company.
I hope I’ll go some where.

climbing higher every day.
The COVID Death’s among us.
It’s moved in.
It plans to stay.
The desperate death toll rises.
Thousands die each day and night.
The vaccine rolls out slowly.
Thousands more will die by night.
There’s a cost to this pandemic.
There’s a cost to all this strife.
There’s a cost in human suff’ring.
There’s a cost in human life.
There’s a cost to all the children.
There’s a cost that takes a toll.
There’s a cost that we’re all paying.
It’s the cost to the human soul.
They say that we’ve become immune as the daily losses mount.
They say we’ve lost our feelings with the massive body count.
They say the numbers are so high we no longer comprehend
the price our country’s paying with this staggering upward trend.
The Virus is an endless curse.
The path it charts gets ever worse.
Its course is marked with grief and woe.
Yet, still—mankind has far to go.
Some one dies every 36 seconds.
Some one is dying now.
